Our church has welcomed worshippers - villagers and visitors alike - for nearly 1,000 years. If you live locally, please do join us one Sunday - there is something for everybody! If you live further away, please consider yourself a 'virtual' visitor and join us in prayer.
Although our services change from time to time to make the most of church festivals and other special occasions, they generally follow this monthly pattern:

 First Sunday

(10.30am) Lay Matins - a short, quiet service, led by a member of the congregation, following the 1662 Book of Common Prayer's traditional spoken Matins service with hymns and a short sermon.

First Wednesday

(9.30am) Holy Communion - a short spoken service, following the traditional form.

Second Sunday

(10.30am) From the Pew - led by one or two members of the congregation. These services deal with a number of themes which may take the Bible as their starting point - e.g. Living out the Ten Commandments today - or may take a Christian view on contemporary issues in imaginative and accessible ways. Currently we have a series on 'God in the life of ……. when invited speakers tell us about their Christian experiences.

Third Sunday

(8am) Holy Communion - a short, spoken service, following the traditional, 1662 Book of Common Prayer version.

(11.00am) All Age Service - a lively, relaxed service, usually led by the Vicar, sometimes with a baptism.

Fourth Sunday

(10.30am) Parish Communion - a longer Communion service, using the modern-language Common Worship service, led by the Vicar, often with contributions from the adult choir.

Fifth Sunday

A shared Communion service with the other parishes of the United Benefice, held in each of the churches in turn.

There is a Children's Corner at the back of All Saints', decorated with artwork from Children's Church, and equipped with books, toys, paper and crayons. Coffee/tea, squash and biscuits are served following Family Services, From the Pew, and Parish Communion.
Children's Activities On the first Saturday of each month from 10.00am - 12.00 noon there is a children's activity - Live Wires. This involves craft activities, music, games and Bible Teaching. Children of between 4-11 from any of the benefice villages are welcome - younger children need a parent with them. Live Wires alternates between Brill (in the school) and Ludgershall (Village hall).
During the year a number of other activities, including expeditions and holiday clubs, are organised.
Other parish events include:
Regular Alpha and Christianity Explained Courses - informal, relaxed introductions to the basics of the Christian faith using video material and discussion, and always including sharing refreshments together. Phone Tina on 238325, to find out about future courses.
Home Groups meet fortnightly in Brill, Ashendon, and Chilton for Bible study, prayer and discussion. Please phone Tina on 238325 for more details.
Other Groups as appropriate. For instance a group of young people may meet weekly in the Vicarage to learn more about the Christian faith and how it relates to our everyday life. This can be a preparation for confirmation into the Anglican church. A series of sessions for those who involved in 'lay led services' and a bereavement visiting course have also been run.
To find out more, phone Tina on 238325.
A Christian Women's Group meets on Friday mornings at 8.50am for a short period of worship, mutual support and a cuppa. Anyone needing a little space in their life for a short period of prayer/discussion is very welcome - along with babies and toddlers. You don't have to be regular church attender! For more information, please phone Sabina on 237575.
All Saints' Church is a partner in an ecumenical (church unity) project with the local United Reformed Church. We regularly share worship and resources.
All Saints' Parish Church is a member of a United Benefice of seven parishes. The other six parishes are: Ashendon, Boarstall, Chilton, Dorton, Ludgershall, and Wotton Underwood. The ministry and worship of each of the churches is very different, and each parish has evolved its own pattern of worship. Services throughout the Benefice are, however, co-ordinated to ensure that Holy Communion is available every Sunday, at 9.30am in at least one of the parishes and there is always an All Age service at 11.00am.
To find out more about the worship and ministry of All Saints' Church, please see the current issue of the Bernwode News, our magazine for church and community, or contact the Vicar, or one of the Church Wardens:
