Brill Children's Church

What is Children's Church?

Children's Church is a special group for young children who want to learn about God and Jesus and the Christian life.

What happens at Children's Church?

First of all, we meet together to say 'hello' and take collection. Then we split into two groups. We all think about something Jesus said, or a story in the Bible. The big ones read the story in the Bible, and talk about it. The little ones listen to the story, and then do some colouring or make something. Then we all come together again, and we say a prayer and sing a song before we go home. Sometimes we do lots of singing, and learn new songs. We have lots of musical instruments.

Some Sundays we all go across to the big church, and join our families for Communion. We sing songs for everybody at Family Service.

Sometimes we have do different things. Last year we all went to LegoLand. In the summer, we have a big picnic together, with all our families. At Christmas, we do a Nativity. Sometimes we go to things in Aylesbury, with hundreds of other children.

This year, on April 17th, we are having a special day in Brill, with children from the other parishes in the United Benefice. We will make things, and have a picnic together, and then have a special service in the church.

Who goes to Children's Church?

About 20 children come every week. We are all four-years-old or older. It doesn't matter if our families go to All Saints' Church or to the United Reformed Church - or to any other church. We children all meet together.

When, and where, does Children's Church meet?

We meet at 10.30am and go home at 11.30am. We meet every Sunday, except during the school holidays. We meet in the United Reformed Church, which is in the High Street. There is a nice room upstairs, and a toilet and a little kitchen.
